Get to the Inbox items you're interested in quickly.


Your Inbox shows you conversations across all contacts and clients.


To help you get to what you need, you can apply filters. You also have preset filters or smart filters to help you.


Accessing filters


To apply filters to your Inbox, click on "Show filters" at the top of the Inbox. This brings up the filter panel:



Applying filters


The following filters are available to use:

  • Action status - conversations that have no action required, have an outstanding action or require no action.
  • Assignee - conversations that are assigned, unassigned or assigned to you.
  • Archived status - conversations that have been archived or unarchived.
  • Label type - the type of conversation you want to see e.g. about a job, service or one that you defined (i.e. custom).


Your view of the Inbox changes as soon as you change a filter. You'll find that Smart filter is set to "Custom" when you do so.


Some examples of filters:

  • To show conversations that relate to jobs and that have been assigned to you, set:
    • Status = "All"
    • Assignee = "Assigned to me"
    • Archived = "Unarchived"
    • Label type = "Jobs"
  • To show conversations that are assigned to me that I need to take actions on, set:
    • Status = "Action required" 
    • Assignee = "Assigned to me"
    • Archived = "All"
    • Label type = "All"
  • To show conversations that need action, set:
    • Status = "Action required"
    • Assignee = "All"
    • Archived = "All"
    • Label type = "All"


Smart filters


Smart filters are preset filters that you can use to work with the default view of Inbox.  Here are some examples and how they are defined:
