You need to monitor the status of your tax returns, and below are two example Insights you can create to help you on your way to answering that question.


INSIGHT 1


Monitoring submissions with HMRC using the ‘Notes’ area in the job.


Ensure you have populated the HMRC submission reference data inside the Notes area of the job first.


  1. Click on Insights in left hand menu
  2. Click on Jobs
  3. Click on Go to Insight Builder
  4. Click on Filters 
  5. Click on Add Filter – (You want to add the following filters)
  6. Select Service – is – one of – Personal Tax Returns
  7. Select Status – is – one of – Completed
  8. Select Note – Choose a filter as you prefer (EG: is not blank)
  9. Select Due Date – is – before – (choose your applicable date)
  10. Click on Apply
  11. Click on Ellipsis to save the Insight & share with your team

DONE

 

You will now be able to see what jobs are completed but missing HMRC reference data





INSIGHT 2


Managing unfinished or not started jobs


  1. Click on Insights in left hand menu
  2. Click on Jobs
  3. Click on Go to Insight Builder
  4. Click on Filters 
  5. Click on Add Filter – (You want to add the following filters)
  6. Select Service – is – one of – Personal Tax Returns
  7. Select Status – is – one of – (choose your applicable status)
  8. Select Steps Completed? (yes or no)
  9. Select Requirements Completed? (yes or no)
  10. Select Due Date – is – before (choose your applicable date)
  11. Click on Apply
  12. Click on Ellipsis to save the Insight & share with your team

DONE 


You will be now able to see the steps and requirements status for each job.
